April 10, 1948 - October 12, 2024.

Peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the age 76. He was predeceased by Mother and Dad - Arnold and Jean Roberts (nee Boston).

Dearest 'Waynie' of his brother and sister, Wanda Mitchell (Mike), Brent Roberts (Jennifer), Brenda Strachan (late Ron) and the late Penny King (late Marvyn). 'Uncle Weiner' of his most loved nieces and nephews - Craig King (Michelle), Elsie Roberts, Lorrie Sawchyn (Trevor), Tom Roberts (Riahha), Brad King (Jasmine), Jay Strachan, Justin Strachan (Amy), Matt Strachan (Brandy) and Shawn Roberts.
Great uncle of Cassandra, Kaylee, Tyson, Ashton, Lilliana, Aidyn, Mackenzie, Taylor, Austin, Brayden, Mak, Breanna, Logan, Leah and Jacob. Great Great Uncle to our new little Ivy. Much loved father figure to Jean Zubot and her family.

Wayne is now joyfully reunited with the love of his life - Peppy - his little toy poodle, and his pup Princess. He is loving their little kisses and giving them lots of belly rubs right now for sure. For some, the strong bonds of friendship become family, and that is surely the case with Wayne and his very good friend Paul Dubois - lovingly known to Wayne as 'Joe'. Paul has been a blessing especially over the last year. The family is so grateful for the kindness you had with our Waynie.

Thank you to the care staff at the F.J. Davey Home - Apple Orchard 3 for your tireless devotion, not only to Wayne, but to all residents you care for. Your care and compassion in all that you do shines brightly. Special thanks to Wayne's 'favourite', to Kendra, and to his amazing PSWs who accepted Wayne's challenge and won the battle.

Wayne had a unique take on life. His sense of humour was a little off centre - always happy to make people laugh, even in difficult moments. Oh the stories and memories we will always share Waynie... you will be so missed. Cremation has taken place, a private family interment will be held on a later date and a Celebration of Life will be held in the ballroom of The Pavilion at Water Tower Inn on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Memorial contributions (payable online or by cheque) to the Diabetes Canada, Alzheimer Association or A.R.C.H. would be appreciated by the family.

'Myyyy Waynie - one foot in the grave, one on the banana peeeel.' Looks like the banana peeeel won this time. Love you always.
