Peacefully at the F.J Davey Home on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the age of 92 with Steven by her side.
Mother of the late Hartwig, Holger, and Connie. Predeceased by her parents Otto and Emmy Hahn of Germany. Sister of Heidi, the late Renata, and Sigrid. Gerda will be deeply missed by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Gerda devoted her life to helping others and spent her working years as a registered nurse in Germany, and then finishing her career in Thunder Bay where she raised her three children. Gerda then settled in the outskirts of Thessalon where she was able to slow down and fulfill her dream of a quiet country life while raising two of her grandchildren Steven and Danielle. Gerda cherished the small things in life and weathered every storm with grace.

A private family service has taken place. Memorial contributions payable by cheque or online to the F.J Davey Home or SAHF Women and Children's Health Care Fund would be appreciated.
