The family is saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Jerry on Wednesday, August 28 at the F. J. Davey Home.
He was predeceased by his parents Elgie and Jane Reed, brother Bruce and infant twin brothers. He was a special cousin to many.
Jerry lived and worked his early years on the farm, then joined Sault College staff as a groundskeeper, where he worked for 31 years. He took great pride in his work and kept everything looking neat and tidy.
The family wishes to thank Margo and Kent for the love and care shown to Jerry. He was very happy at Puddingstone. Many thanks also to the staff at the Dr. Trefry Centre. He enjoyed spending Thursday with you. Thanks also to the staff on Birch Lane 3rd floor of the F. J. Davey Home.
Friends and family are invited to gather at the Richards Landing Cemetery on Thursday, September 12th at 11:00 am for a burial with Rev. Stewart Walker officiating, followed by a reception at the Legion Hall. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Memorial contributions made payable online or by cheque to NSHN Matthews Site or the Dr. Trefry Centre (payable to St Joseph Township) would be greatly appreciated.
