It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Matti quietly at his home, Kotitalo, Finnish Resthome. Last child from a large family. Predeceased by his wife Anna Liisa. Loving father of Marlene Tucker (George), Helena Chartrand (Robert). Grandfather of Matti Tucker (Lisa), Amanda Tucker-Azam (Alex) and Jonathan Chartrand (Tori). Great grandfather of Peyton, Matti, Alex, Jeno, Royce and Finley. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews in Finland. Matti was an honorary veteran of Finland and was knighted of the Order of the White Rose medal of Finland. The family is greatly appreciative and grateful to all the staff at Kotitalo who took special care of our dad (Isi). Friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E, 705-759-2522) on Tuesday August 28, 2018 between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. Funeral service to follow in the chapel at 1 pm with Rev. Paul Raappana officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Ontario Finnish Resthome Association and Zion Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
