Passed away peacefully at the Finnish Resthome on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the age of 101.
Helvi was born in Finland in 1919, came to Canada in 1950 and made Sault Ste. Marie her home. Beloved wife of the late Aimo Punkari. Survived by her great nieces and extended family in Finland. She will be deeply remembered by her dear friends Raili and Charles Lindfors and family. At Helvi's request a private service will be held. Memorial contributions to the Ontario Finnish Resthome Association would be greatly appreciated.
