Unexpectedly at home on Monday, June 1, 2020 at the age of 77. Loving wife of the late Eddie Proulx. Beloved mother of Arlene Proulx. Dear sister of Don Cameron (Sharon), Laura Avery (Gary), and Mabel Abra (Peter and the late Cavin). Caring aunt of Paula (Brent) Vallee, Sarah (Mark) Jones, Doran (Johanna) Abra, Greg Cameron, and Richard (Mia) Avery. Also survived by her great nieces and nephews Madeleine, Emily, Grace, Greydon, Lucas, and Hailey. Mary will also be missed by many cousins, friends, and by Natalie to whom she was like a second mother. Mary will be remembered for her many years as an elementary school teacher in Elliot Lake, her love of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and her ability to strike up a conversation with anyone. Due to current circumstances, a celebration of Mary's life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Diabetes Association by cheque or online would be greatly appreciated.
