PORTER, Dorothy (nee Brooks)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our precious, loving mother and Nana on Tuesday June 3, 2003 in her 83rd year. She joined her husband Robert (Bob), her son Robert (Bobby) and parents George and Florence Brooks in eternal life. Devoted mother of Janet Knuuttila (late Willie), Cliff (Betty), and Doug (Kandyce). Cherished Nana to Terri, Mark (Karen) Knuuttila, Lisa (Don) Dorey, Kerri, Robert, Jason and Kimberley Porter. Special step-Nana to Amanda and Matthew Neveu. Cherished Great Nana to Josh and Jayden. Dear sister of Dora Falco (late Sam), Fred Brooks (late Pearl), late Ruby Hewett (Eric), Iona Celetti (John), Milly Rutledge (late Mervyn). Dorothy is predeceased by Jim, Eva, Loretta, Mamie, Ernie and Mervyn. Dorothy will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special friend of Olive Lesyshen and many others. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, June 5 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 6 in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Rev Bruce McLeish officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Donations to the Sault Area Hospital Oncology Unit or Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family.
