Peacefully at Extendicare Van Daele on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the age of 66.
Beloved son of the late Francis and David Pond. Loving brother of Lynden Pond and Sharon Souliere (Bill). Proud and doting uncle of Emily, Kate and Alex Souliere and Janna Chapman (Logan). Great uncle of Nora Fiore. John's path in life was not always easy, despite his many challenges of health and ability he maintained a positive and cheerful outlook. John loved to sing and took comfort in his family and religious beliefs. He leaves behind many friends of faith in Sault Ste. Marie and Southern Ontario. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice are appreciated. Special thanks to Dr. Gieni and the staff at Van Daele for the loving care that John received. A big thank you to Dr. Fratesi for the excellent care John received over the years.
