It is with deep sadness and sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Thomas Jeffrey Pine AKA Mr. Big, resident of Garden River First Nation. The creator quietly and peacefully called him home on Saturday, August 24, 2019.

Tom was best known for his quick laughter, joking around and always made an impression the people he met during his time with us. Many remember sharing stories and his caring and compassion for everyone he met and would help anyone and gave anything he had. His greatest gifts were his children, grandchildren and his true soulmate. Tom followed his traditional teachings, learning the language and always took pride in passing them to his children. Family ties and bonds were always important and held close with his parents and siblings. Although our hearts are filled with sadness and loss his spirit will live on through his many children and grandchildren.
