It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved father and husband, Peter George Pine Sr. He was called to the Creator?s loving arms on Wednesday, April 30, 2003 at the Sault Area Hospitals, General Site in his 72nd year. Son of the late Frederick Erskine Pine and Elizabeth. Beloved husband, best friend and soul mate to Agnes for 46 years. Loving father of Pamela Pine (Henry), Peggy Sheldon (Ray), Maxine Lesage (Darcy), Peter Pine Jr. (Michelle), Dianne O?Brien (Dan), Lesa Boissoneau (Lonnie) and Nancy Pine (friend Andrew). Loving Papa of Chessa, Alexandea, Chloe, Kiana, Joshawa, Noah, Melissa-Sue, Daeson, Darcy-Wade, Gregory, Tamira, Chanel, Jared, Marcus, John Wayne and Olivia. Predeceased by his sister Lucille Misutka (Wanamaker) of Edmonton, Alberta. Dear brother-in-law of Jean Cripps of Sault Ste. Marie, Ernest Tegosh (Mary) of Vancouver and the late Harry and Edward Tegosh of Garden River. Special uncle to the Tegosh boys, Cripps boys and the Wanamaker and Brookfield sons. Peter will be missed by his many close friends and community members in Garden River. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, May 2 from 3:00 to 9:00 pm. Prayers at 8:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Saturday, May 3 at 1:00 pm. with Rev. Norman Fortier officiating. Interment at Garden River Catholic Cemetery Memorial contributions to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the nurses of 200Y, Dr. Keating, Dr. Bedhun and Dr. Quon. Dad had a great love and respect for nature, the wilderness and loved all creatures great and small. He was a devout husband, father and Catholic and a long time employee of Algoma Steel. He will be greatly missed by all.
