April 11, 1989 - October 24, 2024

Jason began his journey to the Spirit World to reunite with his brother Curtis, his grandfather Charles, aunt Karen and uncles Mitchell, Thomas and Kevin on Oct. 24.

He was the loving son to Linda Pine and Ronald Masse. Cherished brother of Ronald, Dolly and Angel. Grandson of Joanne Pine (late Charles Pine) and the late Camille and Jean Masse. He leaves behind his long-time friend and companion Allysia Solomon.

Jason will be fondly remembered for his love of being outdoors where he ran his own business and was able to spend time with many of his friends and made connections with many members of the community and surrounding areas through his work. As a young child, Jason enjoyed snowmobiling and motorbiking with his dad, brother and friends, and as he got older he continued this passion.

He always gave his whole heart to those he loved and didn't hesitate to help those who needed it. He was fiercely protective of his family particularly his brother, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was always there for his family in good times and in times of need.

The family is grateful to Allysia for the love she had for Jason and the many years they shared together. Jason was proud of his culture and took great interest in learning traditional ways. He was given the name "Bungisha Gimiwan" which means little rain, an honour he was very proud of.

His loss will be felt by many other family members and friends. Friends and family are invited to visit the Garden River Community on Wednesday, Nov. 6  from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:30 p.m. led by Keith Boissoneau. Burial will take place at the Garden River Cemetery after the service and a feast will commence at the community centre following.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family. Please visit www.arthufuneralhome.com obituaries section to leave a message of condolence as a keepsake for the family.
