It is with great sorrow that Dave’s family announce his passing. He gave a huge last kick at the can before taking his last ride on Wednesday, April 11th, 2018. Beloved husband of 25 years and best friend of Diana (nee Lanosky). Loving father of Marlene Hamilton (Scott), Patti Hamilton and Laura Nelson (Clint). Cherished Grandpa of Michael, Steven, Jacob, Elissa and Noah. Predeceased by his parents Noah “Lou” and Jeanette. Dear brother of Ray (Marilyn) both predeceased, Toots Edmond (Andrew) both predeceased, Bo Lajoie predeceased (Leo), Marylou Hess (Otto predeceased) and Pat Cain (Jim predeceased). Loved son-in-law of Victoria Alexanders (George predeceased) and Walter Lanosky predeceased. Dear brother-in-law of Liz Merz, Joanne Lanosky (Rick MacFarlane), Vicky Misuk (Dave), Walter Lanosky (Tricia Gowland), Mary Lanosky (Fred Midgely) and Larry Lanosky (Tina). Favourite Uncle of many dear nieces and nephews. Big Dave cherished his family and was a loyal friend. He was a well known tattoo artist and a lifelong motorcycle rider who also enjoyed classic cars and moose hunting.
A celebration of Dave’s life will take place on Sunday, May 6th, 2018 from 1:00 – 5:00 pm at Legion Branch #25 96 Great Northern Road, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to food bank or hospice of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Sudbury Park Lawn Cremation Services.
