PELTOLA, Maria “Mary”

Passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 18, 2004 at the General Hospital in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Waino Peltola (1977). Dear mother of the late Jorma (1976) and the late Elmer (1969). Dear aunt of Helly Lubek (Ants). Dearest friend of Laura Peltonen. God Mother of Liisa Disano. This pleasant cheerful lady will be missed by her many friends and relatives in the Sault, Finland and USA. Formerly of 692 Korah Road, Maria moved to the Ontario Finnish Resthome complex in 1991 where she lived in all of the three phases. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 from 12 pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1 pm. Rev. Raija Perttula officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the St. Mary’s Finnish Lutheran Church or Ontario Finnish Resthome Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
