Passed away at the age of 77 on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at home in Sault Ste. Marie. Loved mother of Lennard (Kathryn) of Oro-Medonte Township. Survived by her sister Mary (Allen Novakuske), her sister-in-law Maimo Mauembaed, and by several nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Nicholas and Tina Dominick, stepfather William Alexiewich, Arno Peet, and her siblings Anne, William, Michael, Maxwell and Paul Dominick. Loved cousin of the Prokopchuk and Karlash families and will be missed by her special friends Bill and Doreen Toyne and Bruna Battistella. Stella lived her entire life in the Soo. She was an accomplished cook (especially of Ukrainian and Estonian delicacies) and an avid crafter and sewer. She loved making perogies and cabbage rolls with her friends at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Church. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Arthur Funeral Home –Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral service to occur on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11 am in the chapel. If desired, donations may be made to Tracy’s Dream or St. Mary’s Ukrainian Church.
