It is with much love and deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Glen Parsons on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Beloved husband and best friend to Sheri Lynn for 36 years.

He was the proudest Papa Glenny to his little sweet pea Emersyn and will be greatly missed by his children Nikki (Casey), Jacob and Mackenzie. Son of the late Bud and Betty Parsons, son in law to Adele and the late Larry Bois, brother George (Georgie), the late Michael (Cindy), Lori (Keith) Esson, Steven (Cathy) Bois. Loved uncle and great uncle to many. Glen was a kind man with a gentle soul.

Anyone who knew him, knew who he loved. He was considered a father to many of his children’s friends, an honorary dad as he called it! He was such a proud family man, blood or not and will be deeply missed by so many! Glen was a man that lived with great passion for the things he loved! He was a volunteer of Sault Search and Rescue for over 32 years, spending much of his younger life training with one of his best furry friends Levi. Together, the two of them had many successful searches, of which Glen was so proud!

He loved his Rescue family dearly! Also a devoted employee of Enbridge Inc. for 30 years, with many colleagues turning into life long friends. The family would like to send a special thank you to Glen’s dear friend Fransois Lemeaux for always being there to support Glen during the good times and the bad. The thing he was most passionate about though was his camp! Aside from his family, he loved that place more than anything! He spent countless hours, along with some blood, sweat and tears turning the family camp into his lifelong dream! If you knew Glen, you knew if you couldn’t find him to look at camp!

One of his favourite things to do at camp was to show his little sweet pea Emersyn all the different birds flying around. A celebration of Glen’s life will be held at Sault Search and Rescue (246 Industrial Park Cr.) on Saturday June 24th, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Memorial contributions made payable online or by cheque to Sault Search and Rescue or the Camillus Centre (Elliot Lake) in Glen's honour. In lieu of flowers, a donation of food will be accepted at Sault Search and Rescue on Saturday, June 24th. Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Parsons family.

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference, living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time”
