Reg peacefully drifted away in his sleep at the FJ Davey Home on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the age of 77. He leaves behind his beloved wife Debbie, who he shared 51 years of love and care with. Reg's passing has left a void in the hearts of his daughters Jennifer Paradis and Tracy (Joe) Hammill. He was a loving Pépère to Nathan and Eric Hammill, as well as to Emilia and Lucas McLean. His legacy also extends to his great-grandchildren, Josey-Rae, Addison, Audrey, and Everleigh.

Reg was preceded in death by his parents, Yvette and Jean-Paul Paradis, as well as his late siblings Rejeanne Halonen, Denise Sadowski (late Fred), Claude, Bob, and Terry Paradis. However, he was fortunate to have the love and support of his surviving sisters, Helene (Albert) Barnes and Brenda (late Bill) Willoughby. Reg was also a cherished brother-in-law to the late John Printess (Pat), Keith (Carol), Mark (Tana), Nancy Bennett (Louis), Philip Printess (Heather), and Tim Printess (Diane).

The memories of Reg will be held dear by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews from both the Paradis and Printess families. Reg was known for his passion for hunting and fishing, and he deeply missed his friends who had passed away before him. In his prime, Reg was highly skilled in flooring, leaving a lasting impression on those who sought his services in Sault Ste. Marie and Timmins, Ontario.

Sadly, Reg's battle with NPH and Dementia began at a young age, leading him to seek care at the F.J. Davey Home. Despite his condition, Debbie was always by his side, walking him through the building where everyone would stop to greet Reg. His presence was known and respected.

Reg, a beloved member of the FJ Davey Home community, was truly cherished and looked after by everyone in 2 Birch Lane and 2 Cedar Grove. We extend a heartfelt thank you to the medical care staff, as well as the kitchen and cleaning staff, for their exceptional care and dedication to Reg. Your tireless efforts made a significant difference in his life. We are especially grateful to Kim Tong, whose unwavering love and support have been invaluable.

As per Reg’s wishes cremation will take place. A small private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution to FJ Davey Home or Tracy’s Dream would be appreciated.

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little, but not for long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that once we shared
Miss me but let me go.

For this is a journey we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all part of the master plan
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick at heart
Go to the friends we know.
Laugh at all the things we used to do
Miss me, but let me go.
