It is with deep sadness and devastated hearts we announce the passing of a beautiful soul, Angela Pagnotta (nee Bruni).  Born in a small Italian village in Vis Coschi, Aiello, Calabro, Italy on February 21st, 1948 her journey with us ended in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario Canada on November 13th, 2021 at the Sault Area hospital with her family by her side. Angela will be welcomed into heaven by her loving mother Antonietta Bruni and daughter Mirella.

A true angelic saint on earth she was the beloved wife of Eugenio Pagnotta, loving mother of Josie (Mauro) Facca, Late Mirella Antonietta Pagnotta, Rose (Mark) Taylor, Mary Pagnotta (Mark Palmer), Eugene Paul Pagnotta. She was the treasured loving Nonna, to Stefanie and Nikolas Karasavidis, Zachary and Miranda Taylor and Nathan Palmer and Mark and Morgan Palmer.

Angela was the cherished daughter of the late Angelo and Antonietta Bruni. Beloved sister to Alfredo Bruni and his wife Nella.  Special aunt to Late Angelo, Antonietta, and Massimo Bruni.

Daughter-in-law of the late Fernando and Giuseppina Pagnotta. Sister-in-law of Giovanni Pagnotta (late Amalia), Michael Pagnotta (Franca), Arturo Pagnotta (Ida), Carmella Guidoccio (late Gabrielle), Orlando Pagnotta (Maria), late Ermelinda Silvano (late Frank), Rosetta Fiorelli (Giuseppe), Egidio Pagnotta (Maria). Special loving and thoughtful aunt to Maria, late Lori and Lucy Silvano, Fernando (Anne) Pagnotta and Lydia (Aldo) Guzzo.  She always had prayers for her many nieces and nephews near and far, from Edmonton, Canada to Belgium and Italy.

Angela put everyone’s needs first and sacrificed her life, time and energy and put it all towards her life for family and friends. She touched many of our lives unlike anyone ever has, we can all take comfort in knowing her suffering has ended and her memory and legacy will live on through her children and family. Angela had a huge impact in the hearts of many people, she fought a hard battle in this lifetime, and it was only to be here for her love of, her children, family and friends. Her focus and impact were to serve her catholic faith through her actions and selfless heart. She treated everyone with an abundance of love, honour and respect.  You were instantly her family and she gave endlessly with no expectation in return. She was an amazing cook and baker who could not feed enough people.  Her abundance of faith and love was special to her grandchildren, she loved and doted and supported them throughout the years with everything they did.

Her greatest love was her son Eugene Paul.  He was her brightest star and he is completely devastated with the loss of his mother.  Eugene gave her and our father the gift of him and his time, visiting with them and being their companion on a nightly basis and just being their loving son.

She selflessly gave herself to her friends and the friends of her children. She especially treasured Teresa Carlucci-Hill, the rest of the Carlucci sisters who began as neighbors and became an extension of her family.

Angela treasured her friendships and gave her heart to everyone.  She loved Linda Carlucci, Rosa Febbraro, Elda Mauro and Angela McCormick as best friends and companions through her day to day laughs and tears. Her time and specially her casino excursions with Elda and Angela brought her great joy and laughs to light up her life.

Come with me
God saw she was getting tired
And the cure was not to be
So he put his arms around her
And whispered, “Come with Me.”
With tearful hearts
We watched her fade away.
Although we loved her dearly,
We could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating.
Hardworking hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
