Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Maple View on Thursday, December 17, 2020 surrounded by the love of family at the age of 91 years young, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimers.
Predeceased and reunited with her loving husband and best friend Michael (Mike), of 62 years. Rose-Marie was predeceased by her loving parents Leonard and Mary Bumbacco (nee Gardi). Much loved and cherished mother of Donna Watson (late Duncan), Christine Teresinski (Julie) and the late David Ontonovich. Cherished Gramma of Kimberly, Staci, Tyler (Lindsay) and Jesse (Rachel). Adored Nana of Kambreya-Rose, Colin, Jackson Hundt, Evan, Chelsey, Jackson, Koty, Hudson, Nathan and Audrey. Loving sister of Joseph Bumbacco (Nancy), late Teresa Stocco (Archie) and Carol Fabbro (Danny). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rose-Marie will be honoured and fondly remembered as a caring, selfless and loving lady who devoted her whole life to her family. Thank you to all staff at Maple View who cared for our mom through the years. A very special thank you to all the staff of McCarrol Lake who took very good care of our mom through this pandemic when we couldn't be there, and also in her final days with us.
As per Rose-Marie's wishes, a private family service of remembrance will be held at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions by cheque or online to the Alzheimer Society or the Sault Area Hospital Foundation Cancer Care Fund would be greatly appreciated.
