Loving husband to Laure (nee Deschamps), for 53 years.
Beloved father of Kris (Becky), Tricia (Shawn) and Jeff (Tammy). Loving grandfather of Ryland (Gabby), Avah (Michael), Kate, Julia, Lily and Anna. Brother to Connie Blankenburg (late Jon). Brother-in-law to Don Deschamps (Lynda) and Bernadette Lantain (Gerry). Uncle and great uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Doug was an outdoors man. He loved to fish, hunt and trap. He taught his children and grandchildren to love the outdoors. His passion was trapping. He spent many days on his trap line. He made sure all his children and grandchildren understood and respected the world of trapping.
I would like to thank Carol Ann Agnihotri, the paramedics and his nurses Anna and Juels for their kindness and compassion. I would like to also thank Dr. Sterling for his caring and kindness.
