Peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the age of 92.
Predeceased by her husband Frederick O’Hara. Mother of James Lloyd, late Patricia McCormick (Len), the late Daniel Levi (Diane), the late Micheal Wayne, Kathleen Robert (Don), ‘Buddy’ (Laurie) and Hal Richard. Grandmother of Christine, James (Lysh), Aaron, late Daniel, Brigette (Ryan), Melanie (Troy), Matthew, Shauna (Brian), Donald, Timothy, Ryan, Jesse, Tyler and Garrett. Great grandmother of many.
Predeceased by her parents Huldah and Jim Shepley and her sisters Nina Kilby (Ken) and Carol Szcyrek (late Walter). She will be missed by her nieces and nephews.
Thank you to the doctors and nurses in 3C at the Sault Area Hospital for the care given to Edythe.
Edythe will be remembered as being a long-time member of East Korah Maxwell United, as well as a leader for Brownies and Rangers of the Girl Guides of Canada. She will also be remembered fondly as Edy by friends and staff of the Alzheimer’s Society of Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District Adult Day Program.
Family and friends are invited to O’Sullivan Funeral Home on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 12:00pm until the time of the service in the chapel at 1:00pm with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.
