OAK, Gladys Lana (nee Richards)

1923-2005 - It is with great sadness we announce the death of our loving mother Gladys Oak on Saturday, July 30, 2005. Gladys passed away peacefully with her children and grandchildren by her side at the Sault Area Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Foy H. Oak. Dear mother of Patricia Muriuki (late Carey) of Nairobi, Kenya, Tom Oak (Louise) of Sault Ste. Marie and Elizabeth Oak of Toronto. Cherished grandmother of Thomas, Paul and late Sylvia Muriuki, Danielle Brown (Todd), Paul and Kristopher Oak. Great grandmother of Melanie Muriuki. Gladys was a loving and gentle soul devoted to her family and friends. She will be profoundly missed by all and her sisters of the Eastern Star. A memorial service will be held at St. Luke's Cathedral, (160 Brock St) on Friday, August 5, 2005 at 8 pm with interment of her ashes in St. Luke's Columbarium. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all the doctors and nursing staff of the Critical Care Unit and 200Y of the Sault Area Hospital for their tender and caring services.
