Concetta Niro passed away peacefully at Walden Heights Age Care, Calgary, Alberta, Saturday, March 9 2024, at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Domenico Niro for 51 years. Very loved mother of Robert Niro (Yvette), Tony Niro (Christine), and Anna Niro. Proud nonna of Domenic Niro (Jessica Sparrow), Kate McCue (Nick), Marco Niro (Nicola), Roman Niro, Sarah Niro (Simon Cotsman), and BobbieJo Niro. Proud bisnonna of Bennett McCue and Brooklyn McCue. Predeceased by her parents Guiseppe and Angela Arcipretino. Loving sister of the late Giovannina Dal Zilio (late Carlo) and Derio Arcipretino.
Concetta will be thoroughly missed by family and friends as she was always happy and laughing with an exuberant personality. She had a great sense of humor along with a great sense of fashion. Sewing her own clothes and designing her own clothing patterns. She always showed up to events very put together with a little bit of sass. Concetta was an amazing cook, known for her hand cut homemade pasta and pretty much all her authentic Italian dishes. Her food always filled us with a little bit of her essence, joy, love, passion and magic. We pray for her to rest well with peace and eternal love.
