NEWBIGGING, Paul

Sadly, Paul passed away Sept 1 at North York General Hospital in his 82nd year.

He was predeceased by his father Dr. Donald Newbigging, mother Madge Newbigging, brother Dr. Peter Newbigging, and his niece Wendy Newbigging.

Paul is survived by his loving wife Jeanette, sister-in-law Lois, nephews David (Pui), Michael (Felicia), his niece Susan (Chris), and their children, and many friends.

Following graduation from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, he worked for 1 year at Vancouver General Hospital.

Upon returning to Ontario, he opened a Family Practice in Thornhill and was on active staff at York Central Hospital (Mackenzie Health) in Richmond Hill. He also served as the president of the Medical Staff Association for a period.

Paul was much loved and respected by many of his patients for more than 40 years.

The family wishes to gratefully thank the NYGH ER staff and the ICU staff for the excellent, kind, gentle care Paul received.

A memorial will be held at a later date.
