1925 - 2020

Early Sunday, July 26, 2020 Pat, peacefully died with family at her side.  Over 70 of her 95 years were spent living on the farm overlooking Gawas Bay.  Pat came to Canada as a war bride, Frank Nelson’s ‘English Rose.’  Soon after her entire family followed her to Canada.  She was Mom, loved and now very missed, of five children, Dennis (Cindy), Raymond (Solange), Jerry (Robin), David (Carmen), and Patty (Ken Shaw).  Pat was adored as Grandma Pat to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was admired as a skilled seamstress and for her talents to turn any dull corner into a place of beauty.  Her practicality, loyalty and wisdom embedded on a quiet foundation of humour made her a great friend to everyone in our family and to the many who knew her.  Hearts break with missing her, but everyone is comforted knowing Papa’s English Rose is at peace. A private family celebration of Patricia's life will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations made to ARCH would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Please visit Arthur Funeral Home website obituaries to leave memories and condolences as a keepsake for the family.
