It is with great sadness that the family of Agnes Ruth Nelson announce her passing on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, in her 89th year. She passed away peacefully at Saint-Louis Residence- Bruyere, in Orleans, Ont.
Predeceased by Edgar, her dear husband of 55 years and survived by her children Allan, Lennard (and wife Sylvie), and Evelyn (Thompson) as well as grandchildren Bethany, Nigel, Sarah, Daniel, John, Alex, and Erik. She was born to Elvina and Karl in Passlepa Estonia and was the youngest of 19 full and half-siblings. She spent her teenage years in Sweden until coming to Canada in 1951. Landing in Toronto, after two short years she relocated to Sault Ste. Marie with her mother, brother, and sister Helmi who has been her best friend all her life. She spent the next 65 years raising her family, working in the office of a lumber company, and finally retiring. Making friends, enjoying family, fitness and life all along the way. She will be remembered fondly for her beautiful, kind, generous and loving nature and good humour. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Services will be held in the Sault at a time and place yet to be determined. Donations in lieu of flowers are appreciated and may be made to a charity of your choice.
