Dennis passed away April 13, 2024, at the age of 83.
A gem is a thing that is unique and valuable. Dennis was a man of few words. He was intelligent, curious, proud, and independent. He worked as an electronics technologist for Ontario Hydro, but his life’s work was giving to others.
Dennis enjoyed anything to do with science and technology. He also enjoyed the outdoors and was very good with his hands. He was quite like the original MacGyver, using his intelligence to make anything work. It was his skills and generous nature that made him valuable; always helping people to fix things and get them going.
Dennis took pride in his family, who he cared for deeply, and in his work. In some ways he could be proud to a fault, but it was his imperfections that were part of what gave him character and made him unique.
A gem is a thing that is unique and valuable… and Dennis was a true gem.
Dennis will be missed by his brother Gerry (Carol), sister Viv (Wayne), son Ken, daughter Letitia, grandchildren Michael (Cynthia), Shane, Kayla, Roger, Kate and many nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, cousins, and friends.
As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.
A come and go gathering for friends and family will take place on Saturday, April 27 at 78 Village Court in Sault Ste. Marie, from 1:30 – 3:30 pm.
