It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Phyllis Elizabeth Munro on Monday, April 13, 2020 at the age of 89.
Phyllis is predeceased by her parents Clarence and Hilda Bridge and her brothers Ron and Ted Bridge. Phyllis will be greatly missed by her son Ted and daughter-in-law Debbie Munro, her grandchildren Cameron (Michelle) and Laurel (Chris). Also mourning her passing are her great grandchildren Ella, Ethan and Roslyn. Phyllis also leaves behind her brother Geo Bridge (Maureen) and many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis will be greatly missed by her good friend Lynne Gapp and her family. Phyllis earned her degree from the University of Toronto by taking night school courses while working full time during the day. She was a teacher in Scarborough for many years and then moved back home to the Sault for a well deserved retirement. Phyllis was smart, loved her family and worked hard her entire life. All of this despite years of poor health. A special thank you to all the staff at Collegiate Heights who provided Phyllis with so much care and kindness. Also, thank you to the SAH Renal Unit for their great care this past year. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
