It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Raymond Mooney, on September 30th, 2014. Loving husband and best friend of 43 years to Elma. Wonderful and caring father to Lisa Asselin (Richard), Jennifer Mooney (Rich), and Lauren Mooney (Dave). Spirited and devoted grandfather to Xavier, Sophie, Madeleine, and Bronson. Dear brother to James Mooney (Anita) and Frances Lynch (late Matthew), as well as brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and nephew to many extended family members in Canada and his homeland of Scotland. Ray will be missed by many friends from Sault Ste. Marie, where he worked at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation for 20 years before retiring and moving to Ottawa. Friends are invited to visit at Beechwood, Funeral, Cemetery and Cremation Services, 280 Beechwood Avenue (East of Vanier Parkway), Ottawa, Ontario on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 2:30pm until time of Memorial Service in the Sacred Space at 3:30pm.
