With overwhelming sadness, we announce the death on Saturday April 29th, 2023, of Sandra (Fleming) Mitchell.
Sandra passed away peacefully in her sleep at Arch, surrounded by loved ones. She was a life-long friend of Bruce Mitchell (Debbie Nanne), who was the father of her children. She was the dearest mother of Kelly Mitchell and the late Chris Mitchell. She was the much-loved Grandmother of Kelly Ann Menard, Natasha Menard, and Galadrielle Burgess, and the devoted Gigi of Benjamin Burgess-Darlow who brought her much joy.
Born to the late Donald and Jessie Fleming, Sandra was the loving sister of Linda Smith, Dennis Fleming, Janet Mason, and Mary Wilson.
Sandra was a caring aunt and friend to many and always found a way to make each one feel special. She will be dearly missed.
Our heart-felt gratitude to both the 3rd Floor Health Care team at Sault Area Hospital (SAH) and the angels at ARCH for the very compassionate care given to Sandra.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (payable by cheque or online) to Sault Area Hospital Foundation or ARCH will be appreciated.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date.
