MILLWARD, Ora Harriett (nee Stafford)

born April 9, 1911, in Kimberley, Ontario, passed away peacefully in Nanaimo, BC on February 29, 2004. She was predeceased by her beloved husband William (Bill or “Slim”) Howard Millward in Toronto in 1973; brothers Ralph (Joy) Stafford, Raymond Stafford, sisters Myrtle Stafford and Bessie Sutherland (Cecil) in Ontario. Ora will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her son Bill (Leslie) of Nanaimo, BC; grandchildren Steven (Barbara) of Sooke, BC, Brian (Carly) of Nanaimo, BC, Jeanette (Bryon) Nurmi of Port McNeill, BC, great grandchildren Jacob, Jamie, Liam, Ben, Eric, Alina and Kevin; also nieces and nephews in Ontario. Ora resided in Port Hardy, BC from 1990 to 1995 after moving to BC from Flesherton, Ontario to be near her family. Service and interment to be arranged in Ontario at a later date. Friends and relatives are invited to an open house at 6418 Lewis Road, Nanaimo, BC on April 9, 2004 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Donations in memory of Ora may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
