It is with heavy hearts that we
announce the passing of Marney McPherson after a long, courageous battle with cancer
at the Plummer Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, March 2, 2005. Much adored mother of
Mike (Melissa), Scott (Laura) and Mark. Very special Nana to Ella Rachel. Loving
daughter of the late Ronald and Marguerite Arkley. Predeceased by her brother
Ronald Arkley Jr.. Respecting Marney's wishes, the family will hold a private
family service on St. Joseph Island where Marney spent some of her most precious
moments. Marney would like to thank all of her bridge friends, colleagues and all
of the special angels that touched her life during her rewarding years of teaching.
In lieu of flowers, Marney has asked that you hug and kiss your children and tell
those close to you how much they mean to you. Many thanks to Drs. Walde, Spadafora,
Lohar and Reich and a great big hug to all of the nurses and staff in the Oncology
Unit and Palliative Care at the Plummer Hospital. Your efforts have not gone
unrecognized and we are grateful for the friendships made. Memorial donations made
to the Sault Area Hospital Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated by the family.

feathers are just too bright. And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it
was a sin to lock them up does rejoice. Still, the place you live in is that much
