It is with great sadness we announce Mike's passing on Monday, November 16, 2020 at London Health Sciences Centre with his brother-in-law Dennis Martin at his side.
Beloved husband of Lorraine Nevin. Caring father of Rita McNalty (Cody Brisson). "Adopted" father of the late Samantha Mick. Dear brother of Gary "Ken" McNalty (late Gloria), Sharon Barrette (Ray), Verna Givogue (Rick) and predeceased by siblings Mollean Lalonde (Cliff), Raymond McNalty (Heather), Rob McNalty (Carole) and Debbie Taillon (late Daryl). Mike will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Mike will be remembered by his coworkers and many customers from his 33 years working at Ernie's Coffee Shop (and so will the chicken that broke out every Saturday in the back) as well as the many friends he met along the way. Every week would see Mike talking to people he met waiting for the bus, the security guards/drivers at the bus terminal and visiting other businesses on Queen St. and getting to know the workers and owners. He was the kind of person that loved to make people laugh and would do what he could to ease a burden you might have. He loved animals and children and wasn't above spending an entire bus ride playing peekaboo with a child to make them laugh or carrying dog treats in his pocket
to give out.
Friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Sunday, December 6, 2020 from 1 pm to 3 pm. (Maximum capacity 40 people at a time. Please wear a mask.) Due to Covid restrictions, refreshments will not be served.
