Peacefully passed at ARCH on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the age of 79, has reunited with her father putting our hearts at ease knowing the lord has put her back in his arms.

Mother of Christina Link (Andy), Karen Cuglietta (Corrado), Cheryl McMillan (Scott), Debbie McMillan (Brett) and Michael McMillan (Melissa C.).

Daughter of Violet and the late Francis McGaughey.  Sister to Anita Hernden (Paul), Wayne (late Nancy) McGaughey and Janice (Paul) Forester.

Grandmother of Melissa, Ricky, Amanda-Lee, Randy, Kimberly, Alannah, Tyler, Brittany, Austin, Dustin, Brady and Madisson.  Blessed with many wonderful great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter.  Auntie to Mark, Stacey, late John Wayne, Shayne, Samantha, Sherri-lynn, Paula and Cathy.

Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, married to Chester McMillan, whom they shared five children with.  Moved to Echo Bay, purchasing a farm and sharing fond memories during that time.   She had such an amazing love for animals and her compassion was well acknowledged on the farm.   Leaving behind her two fur babies Spooky and Mitty that gave her such joy.

Her family was blessed by her love that she held close to her heart.   She never said “good-bye”.   She always closed off a visit or phone call with “Love You, Bye”.  This has been adopted by all of us now for many years.

She adored her mother and admired her beauty and strength.  The special friendship with her sister Anita was very dear to her heart.

Gloria has always been admired for her amazing home cooked meals.  She loved to put on a feast for family and friends especially during holiday seasons or haying season on the farm for all our family that came out to help.   Her talents had no limits with her creative artistry of special quilt making, tri-chem painting, diamond art, macramé hangers, knitting, sewing and the list goes on.

Family and friends are welcome to join in a Celebration of Life at O’Sullivan Funeral Home on Saturday, September 28th from 2-4pm.

A special thank you for the compassionate care from Dr. Proila and the entire staff at Health Sciences North Sudbury - Ortho/Neuro Unit, Dr. Fabrarro – CCU SAH, Dr. Jay and 2B staff SAH & certainly the incredible care and support from local ARCH.
