With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our dear mother at the Sault Area Hospital on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the age of 83.

Reunited with the love of her life the late Grant McLeod Sr.  Much loved mother and best friend of Nanci (late Eric), Grant Jr. "Bear" (Faye) and Greg (Barbie).  Beloved grandma "Mema" of Marty (Julie), Erica (Kyle), Sammi-Jo, Dylen (Annie), Connor (Meagan), Dustin, Sidnee and Bailey.  Great grandmother of 11.  Special fishing buddy of Jared.  Daughter of the late Nelson Hubbard and the late Mary and late Alice.  Daughter-in-law of the late Frank McLeod and the late Pearl Roberts.  Dear sister of Pat Hubbard (Ann), late Carolyn Thibodeau (late Jerry), Cathy McEwan (late Tom), late Joyce Leclair (late Frank), Marleen McLeod (Bobby), Erlene Wudkevich, Wayne Hubbard (Laurie) and Jimmy Hubbard (Allison).  Sister-in-law of Bobby (Marleen), late Frankie (Jean), Mary Walsh (late Cliff), Barbara Gignac (late Emile), David, late Billy Still, late Diane Still, late Joseph Roberts and John Roberts (Ann Marie).  Jean will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.  Special friend of Marie Ryckman and Sam and Vi Vresk.  

Mema lived life to the fullest, travelling, playing Bingo and enjoyed the casinos always with her daughter by her side.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm.  Funeral service to follow.  Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.  Food and beverages will be provided after the service. Memorial contributions by cheque or online to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.  

Special thank you to all the nurses on 3C and 3A at the Sault Area Hospital for their kindness and care.  Special thanks to Cindy from March of Dimes for being there for Mema.
