With great sorrow the family announces the sudden passing of Clare at his residence in Massey. He is survived by his sons, Craig (Randi-Lynn) and grandsons Logan and Lucas of Lamont, Alberta, and Thomas Earl McKie (Tiffany) of Sault Ste Marie. He is also survived by parents Wilfred Clare Sr. and Jeannine Rose McKie. Brother Marvin (Tami) McKie of Massey and sisters Glenda (Laurence) Massicotte of ElliottLake, Shelly-Jo McKie of Massey, and Suzanne (Richard) Lacroix of Val Caron. Greatly loved by many Aunts, Uncles Cousins, nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
Clare was born in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario but grew up in the Massey area on the McKie family farm on the River Road when the family moved in 1969. He was an avid sportsman and free soul who lived life on his own terms. He lived to fish, hunt and forage and loved to make merry. Always sharing his bounty with everyone. He played the mouth harp and loved to sing with his siblings. Clare will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Internment at River Road cemetery October 25th at 11am. Celebration of Life and luncheon at Massey Legion to follow immediately afterwards. Arragements by BOURCIER FUNERAL HOME Ltd, Espanola.
