After a brief illness, Lily passed away peacefully, in her sleep, at the Sault Area Hospital on February 4, 2025, at the age of 92.

Wife of the late Victor. Mother to the late Debbie May (late Ronald Clark) and Victor Scott (Lois Deplonty). Grandmother to Cecilia Kittelberger, Paul Clark (Amanda), Randy Clark and Mandy Rankin (Kurt). Great-grandmother to Shawn, Ashley, Reed and Abby. Great-great-grandmother to Thomas. Predeceased by her parents Daniel and Olive (nee Hatten) McGinnis, sisters Vina, Meleta, Malinda and brothers John Elmer, Donald and Warren. Survived and loved by sister Ruby Ervin Evans. Lily will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lily was an avid walker and could be seen multiple times a day strolling around Desbarats, going to the post office, to the grocery store or just out for exercise. She also enjoyed going to 'teas' with her sister, Ruby, and her addiction for ice cream!

As per Lily's wishes, there will be no funeral services. Spring interment at the Desbarats Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Danny McGinnis, Clint McClelland, Al Stobie, the staff at Northshore Health Network Thessalon Site and the Sault Area Hospital for their care and compassion for Lily.

Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Memorial contributions made payable online or by cheque to Desbarats Women's Institute or Northshore Health Network - Thessalon Site would be greatly appreciated. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the McKenzie family.
