With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Barb at the SAH with her loving daughter and granddaughter by her side. Daughter of the late Glen and the late Evelyn Brethour (nee Green). Beloved mother of Angela McKay. Cherished grandmother of Chelsea McKay-Marshall (Kyle Jones), great grandmother of the late Kayden and fur babies Luna, R. J. and King Louie. Fondly remembered by her cousin Aldene Strand (Mel), their children Alan, Jeff and Chris as well as her friends Judy Grexton, Marnie Mills, Jackie Robbie, Chris Hare and many others.
Barbara was an avid gardener and known for her beautiful flower gardens. She volunteered for the United Church in Thessalon, helping prepare and serve at their many luncheon engagements. She was a long-time waitress at Carolyn Beach Motel and Restaurant and the Shoreview Restaurant and retired from Jones’ Value-Mart having worked the deli for many years.

At this time there are no funeral services. There will be a celebration of Barb’s life at a later date.
