MCGREGOR, Dorothy Jean (nee Lacroix)

We are heartbroken to announce the graceful passing of our beloved Dorothy, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, auntie and friend at the age of 73. Beloved wife of David. Cherished mother of John Jacobs Jr., Cheryl Jacobs and Joey Jacobs. Proud grandmother of Sara, Sierra, Sky, Silas and Jersey. Lovingly remembered by her sisters Edna, Norma and Teeny, her special friends Elaine and Marcella as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Edna Lacroix, sister Margaret and granddaughter Joey.
Dorothy was a caring and compassionate longtime Registered Nurse who worked most of her career with Correctional Services Canada. She enjoyed numerous hobbies including crafting, sewing and gardening. Her and David followed the Pow Wow Trail across the North Shore where they enjoyed dancing, making new friends and catching up with old ones.
Dorothy had a deep faith and attended her church regularly.
She was always willing to help others and was an active volunteer with many organizations.
David and all who knew her will miss her love and companionship.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Espanola Regional Hospital and those who supported her, David and the family.
