Peacefully at ARCH on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the age of 65.
Son of Shelah McGee and the late William ‘Francis’ McGee. Brother of Debra Muise (Dave), Dennis McGee (Deborah), the late Matt, Patrick J McGee (Heather), Erin Pease (Jeff) and Sean. Loving Father of Thomas and Rebecca (Becky).
Joel worked many years as a salesperson for Litemore, then Ford Motor Co. in St. Thomas in the Paint Shop.
Joel had many nieces and nephews, as well as many friends in Sault Ste Marie, including Fran & Mike Barker, Vic, and Chris who really looked after him when he was ill. Joel had many friends where he grew up in London (Byron) including Bob Drake, Lynn Nichols, Pete Fitzmaurice, Terry Eaid, and Bill Leak.
Joel had a passion for music and likely had well over 1000 albums all vinyl and just about knew every band member from any group. He loved hockey and especially the New York Rangers (Original 6).
There will be no visitation or services, and cremation has taken place.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent Place. Payable by cheque.
