Sad goodbyes to Roland Richard Martineau, born October 30, 1932, in Ottawa, ON. Passed away, in his 90th year, at the Sault Area Hospital on March 27, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. Son of Jenette Casteloux and J.V Martineau. He will be missed by his loving wife, Sheila (nee Miller). Father of Shirl Currie (Steven), Maurice Martineau, Cindy Martineau (Cathy), John Martineau (Rayme), Penny Malette (late Frank) and Michelle Pereira (Peter). Grandfather of Josh Currie, Andrew Currie (Christine), Tyler Currie, Kelsey (Cameron), Arianna Martineau, McKenzie Malette, Ali Malette, Dylan Matz and Jordan Matz (Jayden). Great grandfather of Noah, Sadie, Liam, Logan, Oliver, Daya, Kensington and Declan. Brother of Alice Martineau, Florence Martineau (Rousseau) and Nancy Martineau (Moar).
In keeping with Roland’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A Memorial service will be held in the summer.
The family would like to thank the palliative nurses at the Sault Area Hospital for their care and compassion.
