It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of "Millie" Martin (age 82) Saturday, July 16, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elliot Lake. Beloved wife of John Henry Martin of Elliot Lake, loving mother of Judy (Jim) Stevenson of Thessalon and of the late Harry (Verna) Martin also of Thessalon and caring step-mother of Larry (Cheryl) Martin of Owen Sound and also Clare (Nancy) Martin of Wyoming U.S.A. Mildred is the cherished grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 8. She is survived by her dear sister Marjorie Mills of Sault Ste. Marie. Millie will be sadly missed by numerous friends and relatives. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Gentle Shepherd Church on Ottawa Avenue with Pastor Bob Davies officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution to the Elliot Lake Palliative Care would be greatly appreciated by the family and these can be done at St. Joseph Hospital or through the funeral home.
