July 25, 1956 - February 1, 2025
It is with deep sadness and very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Martens, a beloved wife, mom, grandmother, sister and friend. Sharon passed surrounded by the love of her family on February 1, 2025.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Andy Martens; her beloved son, Michael; her cherished daughter, Amanda; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; son-in-law, Charles; her precious granddaughter, Abigail and loyal four-legged companion, Marvin. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will be deeply missed by her family and many friends who were blessed to know her.
Sharon touched the lives of many with her unwavering kindness and compassion. She was known not only for her loving nature but also for her quick wit that could light up any room. Sharon’s greatest joy came from her family and her beautiful garden, where she nurtured both plants and relationships with equal care. Her home was a haven filled with laughter, warmth, and an abundance of love.
Sharon Martens will be remembered not only for her nurturing spirit but also for her infectious laughter and the way she made everyone feel special and loved. Sharon is now resting with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Her love and light will continue to shine brightly in all of our lives.
A heartfelt thank you to all the doctors, nurses and PSWs at the Sault Area Hospital, Bayshore Home Health and CBI Health for their exceptional care and compassion.
A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held in the spring, Sharon’s favourite time of year for flowers. More information will be shared at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Tracy’s Dream or Colorectal Cancer Canada in Sharon’s honour would be greatly appreciated.
