MARSHALL, George BIO

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Marshall on Sunday, May 30, 2021 just shy of his 77th birthday (June 24, 1944), with his family by his side.

George had a great passion for the outdoors and soon fell in love with sail boating.  For many years you would find George and one of his best friends Ron (Linda) down at the marina working on their boats and their tans.  George is going to be missed by another best friend Ralph (Lynn), their love for camping and logging created a lifelong friendship.  He also enjoyed his Friday night pool games with his nephew Blair (Lisa).  His career as a logger gifted him many great friendships along the way. We are surely going to miss his amusing sense of humour.  "We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun but the hills that we climbed were just seasons out of time."

George is the beloved husband of Pam Charrette for 39 years.  He will be missed by his children, Christine (Brian), Billy, Jamie, Lee-Ann (Chris) and Terri-Lynn.  His grandchildren Trisha, Jason (Katrina), Shay, Marc, Blake, Carlee, Nicole, Tye, Tristin and a bonus one Brooklyn along with his two great grandchildren Hunter and Grace have lost a great Papa.  George is predeceased by his parents Leona and Lorne Marshall.  He is lovingly remembered by his brothers Larry (Joan), Ronnie (Debbie), the late Wally and his sisters Judy (late Morris) and Lorna.  George will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and extended family.  "Goodbye Pam my lovely one, you gave me love and helped me find the sun, and every time that I was down, you would always come around and get my feet back on the ground."

Special thank you to our wonderful friends and family who helped with rides and food during this difficult time, your kindness will never be forgotten.  Thank you also to the kind support and friendly smiles from all the staff and volunteers at ARCH.  At George's request there will be no service, in lieu of flowers, donations (payable by cheque or online) to ARCH. Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522).  Please visit Arthur Funeral Home website obituaries to leave memories and condolences as a keepsake for the family.

"Goodbye my friends it's hard to die, when all the birds are singing in the sky.  Now that the spring is in the air, with the flowers everywhere, think of me and I'll be there."  (Inspired by one of George's favourite songs Seasons In The Sun - Terry Jacks).
