MANCUSO, Ottavio

(March 8, 1931 - August 14, 2005) - In the early 1950's, Ottavio
Mancuso, the son of Giuseppe Mancuso and Giuseppina Caruso, departed Paterno,
Calabria, Italy for Canada in search of a new beginning. In 1957 he married
Margaret (Venditti) who would share with him forty-eight years as a spiritual
companion, wife and loving mother to their three children: Tony (Pamela), Michael
and James (Ampon). Ottavio was also blessed with Mark and Melissa, his adorable
grandchildren. Ottavio, a man who truly lived his life through family and friends,
was a light in the lives of his siblings and their families: brothers - Settimio
Mancuso (Beatrice), Carmen Mancuso (Teresa), sister - Marietta Ferraro (late
Michele), sister-in-law Rosa Mancuso, his late brothers - Giovanni Mancuso (late
Filomena), Salvatore Mancuso (Finuzza), Francesco Mancuso (late Teresa), Luigi
Mancuso, Alberto Mancuso (late Marietta) and Antonio Mancuso. His many nieces,
nephews, pals from his Algoma Steel days, fellow cottagers at Red Rock and family
friends will also miss Ottavio. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942
Great Northern Road 945-7758) on Friday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass
on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at St. Veronica's Church at 10:00 a.m. Entombment at
Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum at a later date. The family would appreciate
memorial donations made to St. Veronica's Parish or the New Sault Area Hospital
