Peacefully, at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Friday, May 3, 2019 with family by his side.
Loving husband of the late Ellen (nee Premo). Devoted father of Brenda Major, Brian Major (Bonnie), Tom Major, Terry Major (Karen), and Robin Discher (Andy). Caring grandpa of David Boyer (Keily), Micheal, Bobbi-Jo Boyer (Derrick), Brandi Bell (Shayne), Carol Sharland (Chris), Amanda Chevier (Terry), Andrew Damm (Christine), Ashley Major, Aeriel Stroeder (Bob), and Jared Discher. Great grandpa of 17. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Nellie Major. Brother of John Major (Sharon), and predeceased by siblings Francis Corbett (late Lorne), Rhoda Bazzo, and Frank Major.
Family and friends are invited to gather at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 1 pm with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.
