MAITLAND, Barbara Rose (Houle)

It is with tremendous sorrow and heartache that we announce the peaceful passing of Barbara with family by her side. Daughter of the late Josephine and Joseph Houle. Sister of Roland Houle (Sylvia). Predeceased by May Mills (Clifford), Viola Richards (Bill), Richard Houle (Merel), Clarence Houle (Josephine), William and Henry Houle. Beloved wife and best friend of Vernon Maitland for 52 years. Cherished mother of the late Lisa Maitland, Sylvia Olar (Rusty), Jane Heise (Brian), Julie Birch (Dale), Joseph Maitland (Nicole), late Angel Shaw, Bruce Maitland (Katherine) and Sean Maitland (Tiffanie). Adored grandmother of Christopher Maitland (Sara), Nicholas & Michael Olar, Jena Rose Heise (David), Olivia & Mackenzie Maitland and Dustin Lamming, Tessa, Natasha-Lynn, Amanda, Bruce Myer & Tisha Maitland and Liam Maitland. Great grandma, loving aunt, special friend and second mother of many. Barbara was born and raised in the Sault. She touched many lives throughout her career as a Registered Nurse. Heartfelt thank you goes out to all the caring staff of the FJ Davey Home. A Come & Go Celebration of her life will be held at the Moose Lodge (Trunk Rd) on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 6 – 9 pm.
