Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of 61 years to Bernard Magnan. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Blandine Jolicoeur. Loving mother of Michelle Pollari (Matti), Carol Magnan, Therese Stillert (Jamie) and Raymond Magnan (Nikki). Proud grandmother of Paul Pollari, Jason Pollari (Carrie) and Janna Ruby (Mark), Sarah Leed (Nathan Fender) and Nicole Muskaluk (Joel), Dion Magnan (Monica), Kendall and Daniel Magnan; great-grandmother of eleven. Dear sister of Fleurette Vaillancourt (Roger); sister-in-law of Simon Magnan (late Jackie), late Angele Patterson (late Gordon), late Cecile Lamarche (late Leo), late Margaret Jones (late Ken), late Andre Magnan (late Delima), late Therese Mateik (late John). Fondly remembered by her nieces Suzanne Daviault (Guy) and Claudette Gelinas (Jean-Guy). Following Rita's wishes, a private family memorial service will be held at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522). Memorial donations “payable by cheque” to Finnish Resthome Building Fund (new building) would be appreciated by the family.
