It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Fraser MacDonald in his 100th year.
He was son to the late Alister and Mae MacDonald. He was predeceased be his wife Joyce MacDonald nee Anderson. Father to Bob MacDonald (Christiane) and Gary MacDonald (Sharon). Proud grandfather of John MacDonald. Fraser will be fondly remembered by his special friends Don Norman and Julie Turcotte. He will also be deeply missed by his friends at Browns Island.
Fraser was known for his kindness and could always be found wearing a smile. He would never speak poorly of anyone, and always tried to live his life to the fullest. He was passionate about his work, his family and friends and supported many local clubs and teams with his wife Joyce by his side. He enjoyed recording videos with his old camera and could always be counted on to bring a smile to everyone's face.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Nursing staff at the Finnish Resthome for their care and compassion.
As per Fraser's request, friends and family are invited to visit Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St E., 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm for a visitation in his honour. A service will follow at 2:30 pm officiated by Rev. Helen Smith. In lieu of flowers memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to The Ontario Finnish Resthome Association or the Sault Ste.
