It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the peaceful passing of Irma Irene Luciani, on Sunday July 4, 2021, 92 years of age at the Sault Area Hospital. Wife of the late Anthony (Tony Luciani). Loving mother of the late Lita Rose (David), Beverley Dupuis (Denis), Paul Luciani (Angela).
Adored gramma to Jason Graham (Amanda), Jeff Graham (Denise), Danielle Dupuis, Shae-Lynn Dupuis, Stephanie Luciani (Michael) and Drew Luciani (Jordie). Fondly remembered step grandmother, dear great grandmother and great great grandmother.
Daughter of the late Dionisis and Mary (Sharabura) Zaharko.
Sister of the late Joe Zaharko (late Janie), the late William Zaharko (late Mary). Sister-in-law of the late Bert Luciani (Lena), the late Laura Salvini (late Joe), the late Adeline Litalien (late Laurent), Mary Dubois (late Clarence) and Richard Luciani (Irene). Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Irma was well known for her many years of working at Friedman’s Clothing Store and her wonderful stories and sense of humour definitely kept us entertained. We were blessed to have a mom who loved to cook and bake. She spent endless hours on her flowers and vegetable gardens which were a labour of love passed on to her children.
We would like to thank the many wonderful people who cared for Irma over the years especially the staff at the MKK Ontario Finnish Home.
Cremation and a private celebration of life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Hearing Society and the Sault Ste. Marie Human Society (payable by cheque or online) would be appreciated.
