December 6, 1955-November 26, 2024

The family is sad to announce the sudden passing of Steve, a week shy of his 69th birthday.

He was a very proud father of his daughter, Tammy Beam (Desi) and granddaughters Alesha and McKenna.

Predeceased by his parents Mary and Bill Lothrop. Beloved brother of the late Donald, late Eddy (Dette), Darleen Hayward (Hayward), Bunny (Jim), Patricia Charron (late Ron), Geraldine Guise (Frank), Mildred Wood (late Clarence), Barbara Walls (Ken), Mary Dunster, Susan, Donna Sutherland (Earl), Billy, late Micheal, late Robert and the late Sharon. Uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.

Steven was a free spirit who enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed telling a good joke. He was the dancing king, with his dancing queen Mother. His laughter was very contagious, and his smile, personality and charm would capture many woman’s hearts. Steve cooked the best spaghetti, and his sister often phoned him for some.

There are no words to define our loss of you, Steve. We will have hold on many fond memories of you.

In honour of Steve, buy a beer and tip your glass to him. Or if you see a poor soul, out there, pay it forward and buy them a cup of coffee. Steve was a generous man that’s what he would want you to do. Steve would lend a helping hand even if he didn’t like you.

When you see Mom and Dad, give them a hug from all of us.

May you soar like the eagles, fly high Steve, fly high little brother.

If you desire, memorial donations may be made to the sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen Community Centre or St. Vincents Place.

A spring Inurnment will take place with our beloved mother a Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service for their compassion, care and understanding at this very difficult time.
